      Dr. Khalid Mahmood Minhas is the type of person that one seldom forgets. A person who speaks 5 languages and has travelled through more of the world than people will ever see. The very moment he meets someone he makes a positive impression that lasts well after he has left.
     Dr. Khalid Minhas was born in Pakistan where he completed his education up to high school but soon after he found himself in Russia where he would go on to attain a physicians diploma from Kazan State Medical University in 1999. Prior to this though he had to grain fluency in the Russian language. At Samara Technical Faculty, Khalid bhai attained his Russian Language Certificate which recognized his verbal and writing skills. Those who know Khalid bhai know that he is a man who is driven and has a strong desire to advance, not only for himself but also for his family.
    
     With that desire in mind, Khalid bhai went from Russia to Johns Hopkins University, one of the best medical schools in the United States, where he did post doctoral fellowship Otolaryngology followed by fellowship in Cardiology. During this time Khalid bhai served in many capacities within the Baltimore Jama’at and rose to be a beacon of hope as well as inspiration for the Jama’at. From ta’leem to sports Khalid bhai led and inspired (a fact that all of the Baltimore Khuddam and Atfal will attest to).  In meetings and sleepovers, Khalid bhai always managed to keep the environment focused and yet never let it get too tense.  Even in his last few moments with the Jama’at, Khalid bhai spent them helping to progress the effort to create a new center for the Baltimore community.  From Baltimore, Khalid bhai went to West Virginia in 2005 where he did was a resident in Internal Medicine for 3 years but his passion was in Cardiology which he is currently working on his fellowships at the University of Miami.

      Above and beyond everything else, Khalid Mahmood Minhas is one of the first people you see at local meetings or your monthly waqar-e-amal and he’s one of the last person you see leaving. He’s one of the most charismatic people you’ll meet with a personality that is both humble and determined.  So who is Dr. Khalid Mihas? He’s a khaddim.
