Shining Star of the Month - January 2009
A soul comprised of humbleness at all times and competitive hunger on the football field. His stature and leadership skills convinced his teammates to make him the captain of the Varsity Football team for the 2008-2009 school year. He aspires to become a doctor one day. A profession that will lend him a helping hand in mending his own injuries if necessary. Iatezaz is a role model on and off the field and easily stands apart. He is a humorous yet serious individual who is dedicated to say the least.
From an early age, Iatezaz wanted to be a doctor. Understanding the shortage of Murabbis in the Jama`at, he was ready to go to Jamia after high school. However, when he met Khalifat-ul-Masih Al-Khamisaba last year, Hazoor directed him to continue his desire of becoming a doctor and help the Jama`at in the medical field. Now as he nears graduation he is moving ahead full throttle, dedicated to fulfilling Hazoor’s request. He has already received scholarship offers from several schools particularly Concorde College in West Virginia, which has a medical program. Iatezaz is also active in another field. He is a living example of what a good Ahmadi youth should be. As a Khadim, Iatezaz has been a member of the local Aamila both as a Motamid and then as Nazim Taleem. He has also served as a teacher for the Atfal Class. A very responsible person, Iatezaz tackles work, school, football, and Jamaat responsibilities quite well.
If it’s brightness you’re looking for, Iatezaz has accomplishments where it matters. He has always been an honor roll student at school. The football field is not the only field he has conquered, his public speaking skills have shown different dimensions to his abilities. He has received numerous awards from Ijtemas. He is lovable with a great personality and a strong attitude towards life. When asked to give his opinion of Ahmadiyyat, he said “We should thank Allah for making us Ahmadis and giving us a treasure of knowledge. Ahmadiyyat is a scope that lets us see right through the vices of the world and helps us avoid them.” His advice to all the atfal and young khuddam “value your time, enjoy and learn from your childhood, because lost time can never be regained.”
