by the grace of Allah, is an active player as an 18 year old khadim of Baltimore Jam'aat, as a student and as a varsity cross country runner for his school. Being raised in a very close-knit Jamaat and all the Khudaam like his brothers he believes in making sacrifices for the benefit of others, for Ahmadiyyat, and for all of mankind.
He has had the opportunity to serve as an office holder within the Khudaam tajneed since he was 16. His first assignment was that of Nazim Sehat-e-Jismani which was a position he had held until October of last year. In this capacity he organized soccer practices for all of the khuddam to participate in. Later last year he was reassigned as Nazim Khidmat-e-Khalq . Alhumdulillah, he has already been able to accomplish a lot with the help of his Qaid and of his fellow Khudaam.
Collectively and with Allah's help under his leadership as Nazim khidmat e khalq Baltimore has been able to adopt a family to whom food, toys and clothes were provided during the holiday month of December. Baltimore was also able to and currently is facilitating the stay of two Ahmadi Ghanaian brothers who are seeking medical care in the States appropriately. Baltimore ran a holiday food, clothing and toy drive in a local small town neighborhood of Jacksonville, MD in the later part of December. Again, leading the charge, he organized a food run to a local homeless shelter near the Baltimore mosque, whereby he and other Khudaam prepared 100 pb&j sandwiches after the January Khudaam meeting.
With the backing of a dedicated family and with Allah's mercy he has been able to come upon academic success as well. he has taken advanced Arabic classes for the last two years (totaling 4 years of an academic study of the language). He is also currently in the top 15% of his class with a 94 GPA. He has been on the honor roll since 9th grade. Also, he has received recognition as an AP Scholar, a State of Maryland Distinguished Scholar and a Pinkard Scholar (students who are admitted to take college credits in Theological Studies at St. Mary's Seminary in Maryland). He has been tutoring writing for the last year.
As far as athletics are concerned, he made the Varsity Cross Country team as a sophomore. He also held a school record in our 6 mile time trial.
Adding to all of this wonderful success by the grace of Allah, he recently was accepted to Johns Hopkins University as an undergraduate.
With all this being said, He likes to add: "I must admit that I really feel bad talking about all of my accomplishments, and in this spirit I say that I take only as much ownership of these accomplishments as are due. All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds. May he continue to bless us all and protect his Ummah." Ameen.
It really does not matter at all what you have done and all that you are able to do. As long as you make sincere efforts with what you have been given by God and as long as you have a pure, loving heart, that is all you need. Make Sacrifices, in the end, in the present and in the future, God knows. Our knowledge compared to God's is not even comparable to a drop of ink in the ocean.
May God save us all,
Ameen.

I love it that our khuddam are active in running. I ran XC and Track in high school and college. I'm curious to know - what was your 6 mile time trial that set a school record? :)
I never did a 6 mile trial in high school, but before peaking my senior year I did run a 5 mile time trial in 25:58. Man I wish I was in that kinda shape again :)
