September 2010 - Irfan Chaudhry
Seatle, Pacific Northwest
This month’s shining star features Irfan Chaudhry, a dedicated and dexterous member of MKA USA. Irfan’s life uprooted with a profound impact at the age of eleven when Hazrat Khalifatul Masih 4th (RH) migrated over to England. Fortunately, by being born in England, Irfan was already granted the immense presence of the Khalifah but his blessings were amounted even more as he took part in many Jamaat events. Two of the events Irfan took part in were security duty during Hazur’s speeches and Waqar-i-amal. These were also his most memorable aspects of his Jamaat interaction in England.
At the age of thirteen Irfan moved over into Willingboro, New Jersey of the United States. Over there he worked alongside the local Jamaat as the Qaid for two terms and as the Public Relations Secretary in the local Jamaat Amila. Then for his educational and career path Irfan decided to reside in the field of Information Technology which led him to Philadelphia for schooling. Later on Irfan chose to leave the East Coast after fifteen long and prosperous years. Irfan had spotted an opportunity to settle in Seattle with the audacious job of being a Director in IT Operations at Microsoft. Also, his secular prosperity did not halt his spiritual journey; Irfan steadily sought help from Allah, the Almighty, who provided him valuable experiences to learn from. As a conclusion, Irfan’s words sum up his zeal for balancing out his life in both the spiritual and secular worlds: “Although we get caught up in all of our activities, we must not forget who the ultimate provider is and therefore service and sacrifice to Jamaat must be our first priority.”
Irfan currently lives in Seattle with his job at Microsoft. His family consists of three children: Hamza-8 years old, Hannah-7 years old, and Iman-4 years old.

While reading Irfan Bhai bio, I feel I could add so much more. Irfan Bhai was my first Qaid who taught me the roots of what it meant to be a Tifl and the responsibilites in Jammat e Ahmadiyya. Irfan Bhai is a valuable resource, someone whom I frequently come to for advice and motivation for certain goals. He has the gift of guiding people into the right direction. May Allah Tallah cointinue to bless him and the gifts he possess. Ameen!
