The shining star from Atlanta Jammat is Qamar Ahmad. Qamar Ahmad moved to the U.S from Faisalabad, Pakistan in 1990 to pursuit a higher education. He completed his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Alabama and is currently working as a Senior Project Engineer at Schneider Electric. Qamar has a passion for mathematics, and in pursuit of his passion he returned to graduate school. He hopes to attain a Masters degree in Mathematics from Georgia State University.
Qamar has been a very dedicated khaddim, serving the Jama’at in numerous capacities including Khuddam Qaid, Nazim Taleem and Motamid. As a shinning star Qamar is currently serving the Jama’at as General Secretary for the Georgia Chapter and Nazim Atfal . Qamar has been an inspirational figure for the Khuddam and Atfal of Georgia Jammat. Qamar has a passion for writing particularly in defense of Islam and has been an active member of MSQ (Majlis Sultan-ul-Qalam), currently serving as MSQ Vice Chairman. As a Nazim Atfal he has been very aggressive, always coming up with creative ideas of training of Atfal.
Qamar is a big fan of American football, his favorite team being the Atlanta Falcons. In his free time, he likes to read, go cycling or take the Khuddam on camping trips to appreciate the great outdoors. Qamar is a proud father of two beautiful daughters.
