Dr. Ahmad Tariq Malik was born and raised in Michigan where he was a member of the Detroit Jama’at for many years.  Over a year ago, he moved to Maryland, and he is currently a member of Silver Spring Jama’at.  Ahmad has been an active member of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for his entire life.  He has fond memories of actively participating in Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya Ijtemas since his early childhood.  As Ahmad grew older, he was blessed with the opportunity to serve Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya in different capacities.  He has served Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya as National Ta'lim Secretary and has served Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya as Na’ib Regional Qa’id of the Headquarters Region.  Ahmad has also been blessed with the opportunity to serve the Jama'at as Regional Ta’lim and Tarbiyat Secretary for the Headquarters Region and also as the Local Ta’lim and Tarbiyat Secretary for the Silver Spring Jama’at.  Ahmad is a moosi and serves as an Imam-us-Salat during Ramadan.

In 2010, Ahmad had the blessed opportunity to attend the International Jalsa Salana in UK, participate in the international Bai’at, and meet Huzoor (aba).  These were faith-inspiring events that provided further rejuvenation of his faith.  Ahmad encourages everyone to attend the International Jalsa at least once to experience this special atmosphere.

While Ahmad has been actively involved in the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, this has not prevented him from excelling in his studies.  Ahmad attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor for his undergraduate education where he earned his B.S. in Biology.  Subsequently, Ahmad studied at Wayne State University Medical School in Detroit, MI where he earned his M.D. degree.  He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine from Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.  Now, Ahmad is working at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC and Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.
