Overview of the Region: Smiley Faces and Beautiful Places are the four words that can describe MKA Southeast Region. The southeast region of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya consists of North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida states. The region encompasses the country's most diverse and beautiful natural wonders; from the cypress swamps of South Florida to the high mountains of Tennessee; from the nation's largest walkthrough natural habitat zoo located in Asheboro, North Carolina to the world's largest Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. With over 600 varied miles of long trails and wetlands teeming with alligators and big pink birds diving into the warm sparkling waters flitting with tropical fish - each area offers its own beauty and challanges.
The region boasts a number of prominent universities, with several large research universities of longstanding significance (such as UNC Chapel Hill, Florida International University, University of Georgia, Duke University, University of Miami, North Carolina State University, Clemson University, Georgia Institute of Technology) exerting an influence beyond the region. Research Triangle Park, in the Raleigh-Durham urban area of North Carolina has emerged (over a nearly 50-year existence) as a major hub of technology, governmental and biotechnological research and development. |

Jumma Prayers
- Friday is the holy day for Muslim worship, with a congregational service held at the time of Zuhr prayer.
- Attendance is obligatory for Muslim men. (Holy Quran 62:10)
- Women should attend whenever they are able to as the blessings received for attending are very great.
- At a particular moment during the service, angels come near to the worshipers and they ask Allah to especially bless the faithful who are present in the congregation.

MKA USA did an amazing job of meeting its collective target of 1,000 bags of blood last year. We have learned so much from our experiences organizing blood drives over the past several years and will leverage our expertise in this field to take ourselves to the next level. In the spirit of continually progressing, this year we have set a target of collecting 2,000 bags of blood!! This is our highest priority throughout the year, and every Majlis will need to do their part to make this a reality. Please click here to read more.
