	Khuddam New Year Approaching! A time of self reflection and motivation... As we begin the new MKA year on November 1st, take a moment to reflect on what you have done this past year in service of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. Where can you continue to improve? What can you take from this past year and build on? What do you want to accomplish this upcoming year?  Grab a pen and a paper and write down what you want to accomplish this upcoming year in the service of our Jama'at, your Majlis, and your own personal goals in the service of Allah. Check the list thoughout the year and remind yourself of what you want to focus on.  Most importantly though let us all continue to enhance our prayers and may Allah grant us the ability to serve his Jama'at in the best possible Manner. Ameen!
	Jalsa Salana West Coast, USA December is fast approaching, which brings a spiritual rejuvenation to our region every year with the Annual West Coast Jalsa Salana, which inshallah will take place this year at the Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino Ca on December 24th, 25th, and 26th 2010.  Mark your calendars!
	Wear it Loud, Wear it Proud! MKA Scarf- What is the Significance? At 11:00AM on October 5, 1972, Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih III (rt) gave the opening address on the occasion of the 29th Annual Convention of the Central Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya. During his address, Hadhur(rt) remarked, "I want to inform the Khuddam that we have prescribed a scarf as a symbol of recognition for a Khadim...I want every Khadim of Islam in the world to possess this scarf." "Although green is the usual color for flags, this scarf of ours is black and white because the flags of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) were either black or white; so at the time of the making of the first flag of our community Hadrat Musleh Maud(ra) had formed a committee to do research in this matter in which he had also included my humble self. Hence when we did thorough research we found out that the flag of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) had no other color besides these two colors. For this reason we have created a combination of black and white in the community flag, and precisely these two colors have appeared in this scarf of ours..." "A ring goes in the [ends of the] scarf [to secure it in place]. The Jewish [people] are a very clever nation that tries to spread its grandeur in the world from every aspect. They also have some quiet means in this regard. Hence one of the reasons [leading to] their fame in this world was this ring. They have engraved a snake on the ring which is used for wearing along with a scarf around one's neck. In this way they have placed their symbol upon the neck of every Muslim who uses this ring. Therefore, when I thought about this scarf and ring, I decided that we should prescribe our own rings and similarly make our own scarf pattern." "I remember that in Spain, I saw four sentences on the walls of the Allhamra: (1). Wa la Ghaalib illAllah - "There is no Victor except Allah,” which was written with profusion. (2) Al Qudrat Allah. “All power is for Allah” (3) “All Order is for Allah” (4) Al Izzato illAllah. “All Respect is for Allah.” I have made use of these sentences to prescribe the following: For general Atfal and Khuddam, they should wear the ring [enscribed] “All power is for Allah,” and for office holders [they should wear the ring enscribed] “All Respect is for Allah.” The exerpts above are an English-translation of an address originally given in the Urdu language. Record 227 Youth Leaders Attend QRC!      The formal event began early Saturday Morning with a Welcome from the local President of the LA-Inland Empire Chapter of AMC, Mr. Ansari who welcomed the young leaders. President of MKA USA, Dr. Younus also addressed the group and informed participant about the objectives and goals of the conference. 'I cannot overemphasize the need for all youth leaders present to remember that all that they do is for the sake of God, for the sake of winning His pleasure. I urge the senior members to be the ones to take the lead in resolving issues and to learn the art of communicating effectively,' he said.      In his address to the youth leadership Imam Shamshad said, 'Remember that the Holy Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was the one who had banned the false notion of violent Jihad and correctly defined Jihad to be the striving for self reformation and service to humanity. I remind everyone again of the need to remain strongly attached to Khilafat, the divinely established spiritual leadership that makes it possible for us to remain united and spread our message of love for all, hatred for none throughout the world.’  Imam Shamshad, Missionary at the Chino Mosque also welcomed the participants and said that he was delighted that they are having an event of this magnitude at the Baitul Hameed mosque. The session was then divided up into smaller groups and key leadership issues were discussed including finances, reporting, and how to motivate the youth within the organization, etc...      In the afternoon the National Executive Board of the Youth association put on a 'Resource Fair' which gave participants an opportunity to ask questions of their national counterparts and seek guidance from them, as to how to make there local chapters more active in specific areas including: how to hold successful education classes, organize blood drives, and how to successfully provide good spiritual education to the children of the community, etc.. The evening concluded with a meeting of the National executive board.      After the evening prayers, in a presentation designed to urge the youth to continue to strive for excellence in service to humanity, the head of the Volunteer Services department, Mr. Harris Zafar said, 'This year the Ahmadiyya youth donated 1,136 bags of blood in numerous blood drives held all over the US.  This was a marked improvement over the 714 bags that were donated last year. Each bag of blood can save 3 lives, thus contributing to possible saving of over 3400 live in the United States. Our goal in the current year is to collect 2,000 bags of blood.'      Sunday Morning the conference resumed and participants were inspired by two very respected early African American members of the community who touched the audience with their story of how they came into the fold of Ahmadiyyat and they offered the youth some valuable words of wisdom and encouragement.      Dr. Faheem Younus Sahib, then presented the members of the local youth with awards recognizing their hard work and achievements.  Dr. Hamidur Rahman, National Vice President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community also addressed the audience saying tat he was so happy to see an event of this size taking place in Chino and asked that the organizers may consider making this their permanent venue.  Proceedings ended with a silent prayer led by imam Shamshad.	Hazoor Emphasizes Tabligh Ameer Sahib USA meets National Khuddam Amila On November 1st 2009, Ameer Sahib USA, Dr Ahsanullah Zafar Sahib met with the National Khuddam Amila in which he stressed Hazoor's(atba) message. That we must reach at least 2% of the US population with the message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat.  Hazoor has instructed us to create targeted one page flyers and distribute our message and to to our friends and neighbors through 1 on 1 Contact.	Salat Spiritual Food  All Khuddam are requested to make a sincere effort to be regular in offering salat at the Mosque. Congregational salat has many more blessings than individual salat.
