Forum Rules


What are the terms of use?

1. Registration

You must be a member of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to be able to post comment on this forum. You dont have to be logged in to post messages to this site. Such messages are however moderated and will show up after one of the moderators have reviewed it to ensure it comforms with the forum rules. In order to post instantaneous messages to this forum, users are required to register on the site by providing a valid email address and their name and majlis. MKAUSA will create a user ID after validating the request. Neither the Administrators of this forum, nor the Moderators are responsible for the privacy practices of any user.

2. Privacy of Data

Your email will not be displayed to other members but the other personal information may be visible to members. You can choose to delete any information that you do not want to be displayed in your profile. Administration will not be responsible for misuse of any personal information provided in your profile. You should exercise caution when deciding to share any of your personal information.

3. Posting Material

i. Users should not post any personal information and/or email addresses in the messages.

ii. Users agree not to post any material copied from any other web site or document. You can, however, provide link to the web site or document if appropriate.

iii. Users agree not to post any suspect material. This includes, but is not limited to: spam, pornography, copyrighted material, offensive language, and other useless material. Useless posting can further be defined as any material that provides no actual benefit to the forum or thread in which it is contained.

iv. Users also agree not to post any copyrighted material that is not owned by them or the owners of this forum. Users will not post any information that is vulgar, harassing, hateful, threatening, invading of others privacy, sexually oriented, racist, or violates any laws.

v. Users agree not to post any advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations to this forum.

vi. Users are fully responsible for any information or file supplied by them.

vii. Message Posting Rules (provided separately)

viii. By breaking the above policies, your account may be banned, and all messages removed.

5. Validity of Messages

Considering the real-time nature of the discussion forum, it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of information posted by members. Therefore, we do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this forum or any entity associated with this forum.

6. Proper Conduct

All members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Members should understand that opinions vary. Do not use the forums for posting disrespectful or inflammatory remarks about anyone. Any post violating this policy will be subject to editing or removal.

7. Reporting Forum Violations

Moderators are only human, so they can miss a violating post on occasion. All violations of any policy should be directly sent to forum moderators for their attention by using the report link. Any user who finds material posted by another user objectionable is encouraged to contact us via private message or report link.

8. Moderation

All messages posted by visitors are moderated while messages posted by registered users appear right away. We are authorized to remove or modify any data submitted by you to this forum for any reason we feel constitutes to a violation of the forum policies, whether stated, implied or not.


9. What are the Message Posting Rules?

Moderators are authorized to remove or modify any data submitted by you to this forum for any reason they feel it constitutes to a violation of the forum policies stated below, whether stated, implied or not.

Following messages will not be approved for posting:

(i) Messages or responses that are similar to the ones already posted will not be approved for publishing to a forum. The forums software has a search facility that can be used by members to explore the contents.
(ii) Messages that contain hateful contents, vulgar/abusive language, harassing comments, threatening attitude, privacy invasions, sexually oriented, pornography, spam, racism or that can create unnecessary controversy.
(iii) Messages that contain rumors/hoaxes, suspect material, violation of any laws or copyrights.
(iv) Messages and postings that contain personal or private information/contact information of anyone.
(v) Messages that do not add further information to an existing discussion or are not providing any constructive new argument/reference in favor or against a topic.
(vi) Messages that provide links to sites or contents that violate the rules of forums
(vii) Messages that contain advertisements, promotions, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations to this forum.
(viii) Messages that appear to insult the basic tenets of Islam.
(ix) Messages containing news items, information, quotes and extracts without complete references.
(x) Messages referencing personal disputes.
(xi) Messages that criticize Khilafat, Nizam-e-Jamaat, and Jama'at policies
(xii) Messages that release Jama'at news information without reference to an official Jama'at media
(xiii) Messages that are considered by the moderator as not appropriate for that forum

Please note again that moderators are authorized to remove or modify any data submitted by you to this forum for any reason they feel it constitutes to a violation of the forum policies stated above, whether stated, implied or not.

10. General Forum Rules

(i) MKAUSA reserves the right to change discussion board rules any time to address any new requirements, challenges, or circumstances.

(ii) This discussion board does not require you to log in. You can leave messages as a guest. This is done to facilitate open and easy communication. MKAUSA reserves the right to change this policy if it results in too much spam or unacceptable messages.

(iii) The Primary Rule to observe in these forums is to follow MKA etiquette. Your responsibility in these forums is the same as if you were talking face to face in a public meeting of Ahmadis.

(iv) Please remember to Be Polite, No personal attacks/comments, No slangs

(v) If you have made your point, move on. It is not important who won or who lost.

(vi) We take the "Be Polite" rule very seriously. We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any unpleasant or disruptive message will not be approved.

(vii) All publicly displayed messages are limited to English language. This includes posts, titles, signatures, and any attachments or other forms of public display.

(viii) Signature Spam (a post that was made in hopes of showing a signature, as determined by moderators) is forbidden in all forum categories.

(ix) You may not post commission, referral or affiliate links anywhere on the forum.

(x) Cross-Posting is not allowed here. Cross-posting refers to posting new duplicate threads or posts, or the linking to threads or posts already started by the member with the intention of gaining exposure.

(xi) You may not compensate anyone for any review or recommendation. Further, you may not suggest a tone (i.e. "Go talk good about us on WHT".

(xii) You may not post on behalf of any other member in any public manner. This includes all forums, signatures, and e-mail features.

(xiii) You may not post words or URLs that are censored by adding spaces, dots, or substituting characters; or by any other means in an attempt to defeat any censors put in place by MKAUSA. Please contact us (support@mkausa.org) if you are unsure about a word or URL

(xiv) You may not link, in any manner, to sites or images containing pornography, sexually explicit, gross violence, or are determined by moderators to be detrimental to the viewers.

(xv) You may not bump threads. Bumping can refer to posting useless information, posting one-liners or any other action to deliberately keep a thread hot or to bring it to the top of its forum. Moderators will use their discretion, depending on the nature of the post, as to whether to take action or not.

(xvi) Any posts that encourage illegal intent will not be published.
(xvii) Public posts debating these rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will not be published. We encourage feedback however and invite you to contact us (support@mkausa.org) if you have any questions or concerns.
