Portland ’s Qaid Harris R. Zafar sahib wrote an inspirational email informing of their Waqar-E-Amal. He writes, “I just wanted to give you some additional details regarding
Portland 's Waqar-e-Amal report for December 2007. We performed many group Waqar-e-Amal cleanups, such as engaging in the preparation of the Mosque for Eid, as well as the cleanup of the Mosque after the Eid services ended. The cleanup in preparation of Eid took the form of both outdoor property cleanup (parking lot, mowing the lawn, removing leaves, cleaning of storm drains and gutters), as well as indoor cleanup (vaccuming, cleaning bathroom facilities, cleaning kitchen, windows, taking out the trash, setting up the tables and chairs for the food service). The weekly Inside the Mosque cleaning schedule for the next 4 months has also been completed and distributed to all the Khuddam. Finally, a Khadim was given a ride to the Masjid for Juma and Sunday activities about 4 times during the month, thus enabling him to participate.”

South Virginia ’s Qaid Hibat-ul-Rafique sahib wrote “on 25th of this month after general meeting 18 Khuddam and atfal did cleaning inside mosque parking area. Also as majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadia we have adopted a road just next to our local mosque. Khuddam did Waqar-E-Amal on that road too total distance of road is 0.8 miles. To do the job in proper manner 3 different areas were assigned to 3 different teams. Time consumed to do the Waqar-E-Amal was 2 hrs. Cleaning the mosque on separate occasions in and around Jumma and after Dars. 2 Khuddam 2 hours.(2*2cleaning mosque)+(18*2cleaning mosque and hwy cleaning) = 40 hrs.”

Fitchburg ’s Qaid Furqan Q. Mehmud sahib wrote “Thanksgiving dinner was held in Fitchburg Majlis from 5-7pm and over 30 people showed up.One khadim helped another move into his house. One khadim helped elderly person with groceries on 2 seperate occasions. 2 Khuddam put together a ping pong table for the masjid. Pamphlets and books were given out on a number of occasions.
