Quotables - Archived

1. My condition is that if someone is in pain and his cry reaches me, even if I am in Prayer I feel like breaking my Prayer so that I may help him if he can benefit from it. I should show compassion to him as much as I am capable. This is against good morals that one should not assist his brother in distress or hardship...one should never be careless and unconcerned.

(Masih Maud, Malfuzat vol. 4)

2. To inculcate volunteerism and develop concept of Dignity of Labor, Hazur started organizing Waqar-e-Amal Days on which the whole community, young and old, regardless of rank or status in life would all get together and with manual labor undertake community work like filling ditches, cleaning the neighborhood or build small patches of dirt road for the benefit of the community. I can still see Hazur join in one Waqar-e-Amal carrying a basket full of dirt and throwing it at the designated spot. This motivated and inspired the whole community and they all joined in the venture with zeal and enthusiasm.

3. You are the best people created for the good of mankind. (3:111)

4. For you there is a noble example in the Prophet of God. (33:22)

5. And whatever good you do, surely Allah knows it well. (4:128)

6. Be competitive in doing good. (2:149)

7. Last year, in June, 1991, when Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih IV was addressing the Canadian Community he explained how Ahmadis who have migrated to Canada could be of service to Canada. He said: We should all strive to be contribution oriented and not demand oriented.

8. He who is not capable of small sacrifices, it is for you to think how he will

make great sacrifices.

Sir Zafrullah Khan

9. 4th Khalifah Hazrat Mirza Tahir “was always patient and appreciative of everyones effort.Even if you gave 5 minutes, he would comment “Mash Allah, that’s very good” which made one feel on top of the world” An Interview with Maulana Abdul Ghany Jahangeer Khan
