Spring Cleaning_________________________

Spring is here fellow servants. The season that represents new life is also the season designated for a thorough annual cleaning of your homes and properties. Many of us have been blessed to belong to jamaats that host the house of Allah(swt) and therefore must pay extra attention to the upkeep of such sacred property. The Holy Prophet(sas) said “Allah does not accept Prayers without purification.” How can we expect our Lords Grace if our bodies are clean and His House is filthy? The Holy Prophet (sas) enjoined that one is rewarded even if one picks up a speck in order to clean the mosque.

In a Friday sermon in April ’04 on  purity and cleanliness Huzur^aba said “Khuddam should take particular care in maintaining and cleaning the Jama’at buildings. Huzur^aba said plantation should be encouraged and both the standard of cleanliness and greenery should be a distinctive feature of our areas.”

Therefore we should do our best to beautify our local mosques and missions thus attracting our members as well as outsiders.

During this season, we’re asking all Khuddam to focus on a thorough cleaning of the properties they manage. Also try and be aware of the needs of the elders and infirm in your communities. Try and find at least one elderly persons home to clean and let them realize the practical benefit of being neighbors of the Promised Messiah’s(as) Community.
