‘Do they then not look at the camel, how it is created. And at the heaven, how it is raised high? And at the mountains, how they are firmly rooted? And at the earth, how it is spread out?’ (88:18-21) Hazrat Khalifatul Masih recited the above verses and gave a discourse on obedience in the today’s Friday sermon. The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) has elucidated obedience of Prophethood and Imamat (spiritual leadership) of the time with reference to these verses. He has made, what may appear an odd connection between the camel and obedience of Prophethood and Imamat. However, the deep and profound spiritual significance of the Promised Messiah’s (on whom be peace) words tells us that there are several words for the camel in Arabic but the specific word stated in the verse above is a plural noun and this signifies that God intends to explain cultural and communal traits of the camel here. The camel has...

"We come to Capitol Hill not to ask but to give. We want to help feed the hungry in America."   Dr. Bilal Rana, Sadr MKA USA, uttered these solemn words at the press conference on Capitol Hill. On May 30th, over 250 Khuddam heeded the call of Sadr MKA USA and travelled from around the US to participate in the first visit of MKA USA to Capitol Hill. Muslim young men and boys from across the United States came to pray for the nation and to meet congressional leaders. The day began with meetings with various congressmen and congresswomen at their offices. A press conference featuring Congresswoman Jackie Speier co-chair of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Caucus and Congressman Mike Honda provided important statements highlighting the visit.     Historic Jummah [vc_separator type='small' position='left' color='' thickness='' up='' down=''] The more than 250 khuddam then held jummah prayers on the lawn of the National Mall, overlooking the Capitol. [Dr. Bilal Rana, Sadr MKA USA, press conference transcript]Greeting of peace and thank you for coming. Today is a historic day for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association. We come to Capitol Hill not to ask but to give. We want to help feed the hungry in America. And we asked congress to help us identify organizations in the districts we work with to help us achieve our goal of feeding 1 million hungry Americans.     To achieve this goal of the Muslim Youth against hunger initiative, we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for benefiting Why Hunger, Humanity First, Capital Area Food Bank, and The Boys and Girls Club of Lakeland County. Earlier this year, we assembled 600 hunger relief packages in 3 minutes – a feat currently in review of the Guinness Book of World Records. We have worked with numerous organizations locally and today we will inaugurate our third annual Walk for Humanity after this press conference.    The...

A great favour of God which has united Ahmadiyya community as one and which has been prevalent since the passing of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) is the institution of Khilafat. The last 106 years of the history of the community bear witness to the fact that after the Promised Messiah’s (on whom be peace) passing, just as he stated in his booklet Al Wasiyyat (The Will) members of the community have accepted Khilafat with perfect obedience. Every Ahmadi across the world no matter what his ethnic background or nationality understands very well that adherence to Khilafat on the precepts of Prophethood which was to start after the advent of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) is his biggest duty. Huzoor said here he did not refer to those who separated in the early years and now do not have any standing, rather the large majority of Ahmadiyya community which understands the status of the Promised Messiah (on...

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih recited the following Quranic verses at the start of his Friday sermon today: ‘And no soul can die except by Allah’s leave — a decree with a fixed term. And whoever desires the reward of the present world, We will give him thereof; and whoever desires the reward of the life to come, We will give him thereof; and We will surely reward the grateful. And many a Prophet there has been beside whom fought a large number of godly people. They slackened not for aught that befell them in the way of Allah, nor did they weaken, nor did they humiliate themselves before the enemy. And Allah loves the steadfast. And they uttered not a word except that they said: ‘Our Lord, forgive us our errors and our excesses in our conduct, and make firm our steps and help us against the disbelieving people.’ So Allah gave them the reward of this world, as also an excellent reward of the next;...

Before Baitur Rahman existed, we'd hold ijtema there. The grass was dotted with tents everywhere. It got real humid inside those tents. Some blunt twig kept nagging your back or side any time your try to get comfortable to sleep. Nevertheless, each majlis took great pride in their tent. Especially we Atfal. Pranks were pulled on rival tents, and they were not taken lightly. It may have been just a tent, but those were our tents. We'd protect them like a fortress is protected by soldiers who'd lay down their lives. One ijtema, we got hit with a grizzly rain storm. Parts of the field we're quickly flooded. Everyone ran to take cover. Many took to their fortresses! The storm was so severe that the wind gusts were thumping tents, literally sending them tumbling. Perhaps those tents still contained Atfal too? We weren't sure! In our tent were Atfal from Houston and Brooklyn, as one. Ultimately most retreated to the brick house....

Last Friday sermon was based on a discourse about the Promised Messiah’s (on whom be peace) understanding of the Holy Qur’an, Quranic commandments and Unity of God which was by virtue of completely devoting himself to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). This is because neither the concept of Unity of God can be understood without the agency of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) nor knowledge of the Holy Qur’an. This is why it is essential that after understanding the concept of لا الہ الا اللہ one must understand the concept of محمد رسول اللہ . Indeed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) was the true personification of understanding لا الہ الا اللہ . Today Huzoor presented some extracts of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) about Unity of God, its reality and how could one be truly called موحد (a believer of...
