Following Hadith taken from "Gardens of the Righteous" : The Holy Prophet (saws) said: He who from among you observes something evil should reverse it with his hand; if he is unable to do that he should condemn it with his tongue; if he is unable to do that he should at least resent it in his heart (Muslim)...

Continuing our series of weekly extracts of writings from Hazrat Masih-e-Maud (as) from "Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam": The Holy Quran admonishes us in Chapter 2, Verses 156-158: And We will try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives, and fruits; but give glad tidings to the patient, Who, when a misfortune overtakes them, say "Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return."  It is these on whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy, and it is these who are rightly guided....

Following Hadith taken from "Gardens of the Righteous" : When a man commits a sin, a black spot is thereby formed on his heart.  Then if he repents and gives up the sin, and asks God's forgiveness, the black spot is washed off, leaving the heart clean.  But if he repents not and commits another sin, another black spot is formed on his heart and so on, until his whole heart is covered with a black covering. (From 5Vol Commentary of Holy Quran)...
