The New York Metro Region is located around the New York Metropolitan and contains four Majalis: Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Long Island.

	Khuddam Volleyball:   Sports Competition Session was held from10 am to 11:30 am with khuddam volleyball. This year there were 5 teams for volleyball. 1 team from every Majlis and 2 teams from Brooklyn participated. Double elimination was played. Each team kept playing until they lost twice.  Queens was the only team that went undefeated in the tournament. 1st Position: Queens 2nd Position: Brooklyn   Educational Competitions:   From 11:30 am to 1:10 pm, Taleem competitions were held that were proctored by Nazim Taleem Regional Ijtema Mueen Ahmad.   Tilawat:   13 khuddam from all 4 majalis participated.   Judges Panel: Sultan Akbar (New Jersey), Muhammad Afzal (Queens), Naeem Janjua (Brooklyn).   1st Position: Mueen Ahmad (Queens) 2nd Position: Bashir Haqq (Bronx) 3rd Position: Taimur Ahmad (Long Island)   Nazm:   6 khuddam from Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens participated.   Judges Panel: Manzoor Malik (Brooklyn), Zarif Ahmad (Rochester), Ijaz Sandhu (Brooklyn).   1st Position: Fiaz Ahmad (Brooklyn) 2nd Position: Taimur Ahmad (Long Island) 3rd Position: Bilal Ahmad (Brooklyn)   While these competitions were held in simultaneous rooms, "Tarbiyyat Session" continued in main hall with Naib Sadr MKA USA Rizwan Alladin speech and presentation about May 28 Lahore Attack that was followed by speech from Regional Nazim Khidmat-e-Khalq Nadim Malik. It was an open discussion session in which both speakers answered khuddam questions.   Prayers :   At 1:20 Zhur and Asr Prayers were offered   Lunch Break:   Lunch was served to approximately 275 people after prayers.   Khuddam Basketball:   Second Sports Competition Session was held from 2:15 pm to 3:50 pm with khuddam basketball. This year there were 5 teams for basketball. 1 team from every Majlis and 2 teams from Brooklyn participated. Double elimination was played. Each team kept playing until they lost twice. Queens was the only team that went undefeated in the tournament after having a very tough final with Long Island.   1st Position: Queens Second Position: Long Island   Evening Break:   In Evening Break watermelon, health bars, cookies, juice and sports drinks were served. Educational Competitions:   From 3:55 pm to 5:15 pm Second Taleem competitions were held that were proctored by Nazim Taleem Regional Ijtema Mueen Ahmad.   English Peom:   7 khuddam from all 4 majalis participated.   Judges Panel: Rashid Alladin (Long Island), Many Galvin (Brooklyn)   1st Position: Ali Ahmed (Queens) 2nd Position: Khurram Bajwa (Queens) 3rd Position: Bashir Haqq (Bronx)     Memorization of Holy Quran:   9 khuddam from Long Island, Brooklyn, and Queens participated. This competition was divided into 3 groups all with different syllabus.   Judges Panel: Sultan Akbar (Central New Jersey), Muhammad Afzal (Queens)   Group 1: 1st Position: Taimur Hamid (Queens) 2nd Position: Faateh Mobeen (Long Island) 3rd Position: Arif Bhatti (Queens)   Group 2: 1st Position: Shoeb Abulkalam (Queens) 2nd Position: Imran Ahmad (Long Island) 3rd Position: Fareed Sanusi (Queens)   Group 3: 1st Position: Irfan Alladin (Long Island)   Impromptu Speech:   7 khuddam from 4 majalis participated.   Judges Panel: Arshad Janjua (Long Island), Ahmed Mubarak (Queens)   1st Position: Irfan Alladin (Long Island) 2nd Position: Ali Ahmed (Queens) 3rd Position: Nadeem Malik (Queens)   Taleem Quiz:   While these competitions were held in simultaneous rooms, Taleem Quiz was held in main hall. 	NY Metro Adopt A Family MKA Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx & Long Island Under the Leadership of Regional Nazim KK helps famiies in need. By the Grace of Allah, on Saturday January 9th, Khuddam from the NY Metro area rounded up donations collected at the Queens mosque and from various homes in Queens and Long Island and delivered them to two families experiencing difficult circumstances. Items collected included 5 twin beds, two dressers, a dining table, rocking chair, cupboard, dinner set, kitchen supplies, clothes, blankets, bedsheets, and winter coats. Jazakallah to the jamaat members for their generous donations. The donations completely filled a 14-foot moving truck. It took four Khuddam, brothers Farhan Ahmed, Hashim Mumtaz, Umair Jamil, and Nadim Malik, most of the day to round up the items and unload the donations. Both families lived on third floor apartments without elevators, so this was especially tiring.   All together, the NY Metro jamaat has now assisted four families in need in the last several months. Please pray that our efforts please Allah, and for the improvement of all those experiencing difficult circumstances.
