Taleem Syllabus and Workbook 2011 - 2012

First Quarter December 2011 – February 2012

Introduction

In this first of three workbooks you will review and practice the details of the salat in Islam. You will also think about the meaning of salat and its importance. You will explore readings from the Holy Qur’an, Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saws), The Promised Messiah (as) and his Khulafa.

At the end of this workbook you should know all of the postures, timings and recitations of salat.

What you will learn

During your study of this workbook, you will accomplish a number of learning objectives. As you complete the exercises, activities and tests, you should check yourself to ensure that you are attaining each of these objectives. Each activity in the workbook will allow you to demonstrate your completion of each of these objectives.

If you have not mastered an objective, then you should go back and work through each of the exercises.

You should use the readings that you have been assigned to complete the exercises. Try not to rely solely on your opinion or ideas. Use the readings from the assigned texts to justify your responses.
