Hundreds of Season’s Greetings letters were presented to our cherished acquaintances by our membership via email, postage and door-to-door. The heartfelt letter includes our diverse endeavors accomplished alongside various affiliates throughout 2011. We enriched the in-person enterprise with small gifts and our famous “Muslims for Loyalty” brochures affirming our peace-loving teachings and loyalty to our great country and fellow countrymen. Men, women and children from our Baitul Aman Mosque (House of Peace) in Meriden knocked on the doors of over 40 houses as well as local Churches and Police Stations personally wishing a happy and safe New Year in the shivering cold. We preferred the inner warmth of sharing the holiday joy with our adored neighbors to the cozy indoors.
“We are Muslims from the local Mosque around the corner who believe in the Messiah, and we just wanted to wish you and your family a peaceful season’s greetings and a happy New Year!” Such words flowed from our mouths as doors opened to welcome us. Our loving sentiments were returned with love, genuine appreciation, and pleasant surprises such as precious donations to our house of worship. We are inspired by this enlivening experience to go out again before the year ends, God willing!
