A coalition of local faith and peace groups sponsored a program on Islam to give community members an opportunity to learn what Islam is about, including its laws and its values. The Saratoga Peace Alliance, Temple Sinai, the Kairos Community, the Presbyterian-New England Congregational Church, and the Saratoga Quakers and Unitarians collaborated with the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Rotterdam Junction to present a program that gave people an opportunity to not only learn about Islam but also to ask questions of this Muslim community and to share a vegetarian potluck meal.
