Alm-e-Anami is given to the best majlis in Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya, as decided by the Alm-e-Anami committee. The award was started on November 14, 1939, on the occasion of the Khilafat Jubilee, where Hazrat Musleh Maud himself decided to give Alm-e-Anami to the best Majlis. The first Alm-e-Anami was given on December 28th, 1939 to Araysa (said Oresa) Jama’at. On that occasion Hazoor remarked, “I advise this jama’at to fulfill the responsibilities of this flag.”
The Alm-e-Anami award has since become the most coveted award any MKA chapter can receive. It is an award for the best chapter, judged and awarded by the committee against a set criterion. Each Department announces one measurable criteria at the beginning of the year. Mohtamimeen identify goals for each Majalis category. Chapters are divided into three categories, Large (50+), Medium (20-50), and Small (0-20). There is a winner and two runner-ups in each category, but only one Alm-e-Anami.
