Sermon Delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community If a worldly person was to be told that one finds all the bounties of this world when true righteousness is instilled, he would certainly consider this as nonsense and will say that this is something that people say to gather masses around them in the name of religion. It is correct that some do say such things in the name of religion but they have ulterior motives for doing so and neither they nor their followers have any righteousness. Contrary to this Prophets of God and their communities have insight and perception of righteousness. They lead their lives involved in worldly affairs like earning a living etc. but are ever looking for righteousness and abide by it. Hundreds write to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih expressing the wish to have righteousness instilled in themselves and their children. This comes about after accepting the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace)...

Sermon Delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Congratulatory letters and faxes are being received from around the world on the successful conclusion of UK Jalsa Salana expressing the benefits derived from watching the proceedings on MTA. Real benefit and beneficence of Jalsa can only be attained when whatever is seen and heard is made a source of spiritually adorning one's life. Certainly no political or worldly matters are discussed at Jalsa, in fact when some distinguished non-Muslim or non-Ahmadi guests briefly address Jalsa most of them are mainly impressed by the spiritual atmosphere of Jalsa and base their comments on the teachings of the Jama'at. Jalsa is of course truly beneficial when all that is heard is put in practice by members of the Jama'at. Otherwise all the praise extended by the guests will be about something superficial. There needs to be uniformity between the inner and outer self of true believers. The world has...

Sermon Delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community After greeting everyone with "Assalamo-Alaikum wa Rahmatullah" - peace be upon you and the Mercy of Allah - and bearing witness to the absolute Unity of Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger and Servant, and seeking the protection of Allah against Satan, Huzur Aqdas (may Allah strengthen him with His Mighty Help) recited Sura Al-Fatiha, and then said that: Today Insha'Allah after Jumu'ah, Jalsa will be inaugurated. Friday service is also important. We should realize the importance of Friday and pay dues of this day. Due to Jalsa, paying dues involves praying for the Jalsa to be blessed. With regards to the importance of Friday Service, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that the best of the days is Friday. Call down Allah's blessings upon me in abundance on this day as this is presented to me on this day. In...

Sermon Delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hazrat Khalifatul Masih said he recently received a letter from USA in which an Ahmadi wrote how he was inspired to listen to Huzoor’s address at Jalsa Salana UK about people coming into the fold of Ahmadiyyat. Huzoor had explained in the address how people were entering Ahmadiyyat Islam through Tabligh efforts and also by directly drawn to Ahmadiyyat by God through dreams etc. and how faith was being strengthened and the truthfulness of Ahmadiyyat was being instilled in hearts. This inspired the letter-writer to wish for someone to come into Ahmadiyyat through him so that he could personally witness Divine signs. A short while later he received a telephone call from a lady who said that she had seen his number on our web site. She said she was interested in Islam and wished to meet. On being invited she travelled a long distance and came...

Friday Sermon delivered by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad at Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. ‘Or, Who answers the distressed person when he calls upon Him, and removes the evil, and makes you successors in the earth? Is there a God besides Allah? Little is it that you reflect.’ (27:63) The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) repeatedly advised his Jama’at to greatly focus on prayer because the progress of the Jama’at and release from the evil of the enemy is through prayer! He clearly explained that our only weapon to triumph over the enemy is prayer. How much significance should we then pay to prayer and how much should we focus on it; indeed, how much significance and focus do we lay on it. This can be gauged by everyone by reflecting over their own condition. Recently a relative recounted a dream of theirs to Huzoor in which Huzoor is telling them that Ramadan has passed very quickly while Huzoor intended to draw...

After tashhud, ta’awwuz and recitation of Sura Al-Fatiha, Huzoor Aqdas (may Allah strengthen him with His Mighty Help) recited the following two verses of the Holy Quran and gave their Urdu translation: Say, “O My servants who have committed excesses against their own souls! despair not of the mercy of Allah, surely Allah forgives all sins. Verily He is Most Forgiving, Merciful. And turn ye to your Lord, and submit yourselves to Him, before there comes unto you the punishment; for then you shall not be helped. (39:54-55) In the Holy Quran, Allah the Exalted, in various verses in the context of various topics has drawn the attention of His servants that He is Most Forgiving and Ever Merciful. These verses that I have recited, in the first of them, this same subject has been discussed. And in it there is a beautiful message for every such person who is fearful of the punishment of God for having committed sins and wishes to absorb the...

Huzoor based today’s Friday sermon on the significance and excellence of the Holy Qur’an. Huzoor started by reciting the following Quranic verse: ‘The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur’an was sent down as a guidance for mankind with clear proofs of guidance and discrimination. Therefore, whosoever of you is present at home in this month, let him fast therein. But whoso is sick or is on a journey, shall fast the same number of other days. Allah desires to give you facility and He desires not hardship for you, and that you may complete the number, and that you may exalt Allah for His having guided you and that you may be grateful.’ (2:186) Huzoor said: Allah the Exalted has explained to us in the Holy Qur’an the significance and status of the Holy Qur’an, the need to put it in practice, how to put it in practice, for whom is the Qur’an a life-giving source, what effects it has on human life and many other...

‘O ye who believe! fasting is prescribed for you, as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous.’ (2:184) It is merely with the grace of God that we are currently experiencing yet another Ramadan; a month of limitless blessings. God states that fasting is made obligatory in this month not to simply remain hungry from morning till the evening but so that righteousness is adopted. The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) said: ‘A person who keeps fast should always have it in view that fasting does not simply signify remaining hungry. Rather such a person should engage in remembrance of God so that he can attain devotion to God and is able to forsake worldly desires.’ He said: ‘Fasting signifies this alone that man gives up one kind of bread, which is for physical sustenance and takes the other kind of bread which is a source of contentment for the soul. People who fast only for...

Today the Friday sermon delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih was a tribute to the late Maulvi Abdul Wahab Adam Sahib. Huzoor said the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) received the revelation: ‘People whom We shall direct by revelation from heaven will help you.’ (Tadhkirah, p. 850, 2009 edition) even before his claim and received it many times. Later, in 1907 this revelation was accompanied with: ‘...

Hazrat Khalifatul Masih delivered his Friday sermon in Germany today. The German Jalsa Salana commenced with the sermon. Huzoor expressed hope for good Jalsa attendance as the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) repeatedly drew attention to the blessings of coming to Jalsa. Thus, even if one has to experience inconvenience, one must try ones best to come to Jalsa. Ahmadis living in the West are fortunate that they can hold Jalsa and other gatherings. They should be grateful for this opportunity and in gratefulness they should fully avail of the Jalsa programme. Ahmadis in Pakistan face restrictions in this regard and endure agony and yearn to be able to hold Jalsa and be recipients of its promised blessings. Some visitors to German Jalsa from Pakistan met Huzoor and sobbed with deep emotions at the helplessness they face in Pakistan. Huzoor repeated his advice that Pakistani Ahmadis should turn to God with greater fervour in order to see change. The Promised...
